The early bird gets the book worm….wait…

Shanghai International Literary Festival

Since today kicks off the beginning of the yearly Shanghai International Literary Festival happening March 5-21 at M on the Bund, I thought it was worth a quick post alert!

Each year the Literary Festival does a fabulous job of bringing authors in from around the world for author talks, readings, discussions, literary lunches and more. The talks are in English (super bonus for the expat community) and through the talks you learn interesting insights into what inspired the authors to write their books, things they learned while doing research, and some amazing behind-the-scenes-events that they experienced along the way. Many of the topics center around Asia—so you also get an insight into the culture of this area as well.

On top of all this, the talks take place at the ever stylish M on the Bund restaurant…. on the Bund. With your entry ticket you can enjoy a drink of your choice, a great view of Shanghai, and an afternoon of exploration through the eyes of another.

If you’re planning to go, what talk are you most looking forward to?
